One of the first things I did in the nude was sleeping. My parents always taught me how I should put on pajamas or underwear at the very least. When I caught cold, I was told that’s because I slept with no socks on. But wearing clothes while sleeping has always been a real pain for me – socks in particular, as they make me feel like they’re blocking my blood flow through my feet.
Today I don’t even remember the last time I slept in my underwear. I do remember falling asleep fully clothed not long ago, but that was because I was exhausted.
If you’d like to explore nudism, sleeping naked is the best way to start. Nobody can see you, you get to sense how much different it is from sleeping clothed, and you build confidence for further ventures. For added security, simply lock yourself in your room if you can.
There is also research which supports sleeping naked. Partners who sleep naked tend to have happier, longer lasting relationships. Nudity and skin-on-skin touch brings people together, after all.

I have been sleeping naked for over 20 years. It’s the only way to sleep. No matter where I am, I sleep naked, its my choice an I will not change.

I always sleep naked, even on the coldest winter nights. Sleeping naked allows the skin to breath, promotes healthy circulation, and lets the body self-regulate its core temperature. I’ve found that wearing any clothing while I sleep interferes with the body’s natural processes.

I started sleeping naked when I was 10. I was a very active sleeper as a kid and when I slept in pajamas, I always ended up with them twisted halfway around my body and cutting off the circulation in my arms and legs. Out of sheer annoyance, I started taking them off at night when that happened and then I just stopped putting them on in the first place. After awhile my parents noticed that I wasn’t wearing pajamas or anything else to bed because my mom made a comment about not needing to buy me any more pajamas. That’s the only thing they ever said. In the last 40 years you can count on your fingers the number of nights I’ve slept in underwear and I’ve never slept in pajamas again.
